Consumed by Baylee Sidden
Lips, so pure they bubble
like a pour of ambrosia around her mouth,
bathing the eyes, the face, the body.
Hair of crystalized honey, melted
by the heat of runway lights.
Legs smooth as the streaming sand
flowing through her hourglass body.
Her face, the symbol of perfection;
women are told to want a taste of
that cotton candy sweetness for themselves.
Candied apple cheeks burnished
like Eris' gift - celestial, yet
destined to be consumed.
Demeter in the flesh, goddess
of the harvest, become the fruit herself.
But my beauty is my own.
